Geora is a place to find high-quality, verified and secure nature and climate credits. The badge system communicates the level of quality and trust we place in each credit. As the data backing a credit improves, more and higher-level badges are unlocked, according to this standard:

Verified

Reproducible

Integrated

Summary

How confident are we that the data on this credit is correct?

How reproducible is the process of issuing this credit? Can the calculations be verified?

How much of this credit’s data and analysis is automated and corroborated by multiple sources?

Gold

The credit has been audited by a recognised 3rd-party auditor (e.g. AUS-QUAL), who has attested to its accuracy using Geora.

All raw data for the final calculations is available (e.g. GIS data, all soil carbon tests). Inputs are captured at an individual level. All required and optional fields of the asset standard are complete.

Two or more integrations which directly communicate with Geora have added data to the credit.

Silver

The credit has been audited by a recognised 3rd-party auditor (e.g. AUS-QUAL), who has attested to its accuracy outside of Geora.

Some raw data and all intermediate or aggregated data for the final calculations is available. Inputs are captured at an aggregated level (e.g. total fertiliser use, total adjuvant use; rather than listing individual fertilisers). All required fields of the asset standard are complete.

One integration which directly communicates with Geora has added data to the credit. One or more indirect integrations have added data to the credit (i.e. satellite data added via a manual upload process)

Bronze

The credit has been issued by a recognised 3rd-party certifier, and not the token owner.

Some intermediate or aggregated data for the final calculations is available. All required fields of the asset standard are complete.

One or more indirect integrations have added data to the credit (i.e. satellite data added via a manual upload process)

For example, the Sustainable agri-token (SAT) in the image below has earned three badges of different levels:

  1. Verified, gold: The credit has been audited by a recognised 3rd-party auditor (e.g. AUS-QUAL), who has attested to its accuracy using Geora.

  2. Reproducible, silver: Some raw data and all intermediate or aggregated data for the final calculations is available. Inputs are captured at an aggregated level (e.g. total fertiliser use, total adjuvant use; rather than listing individual fertilisers). All required and optional fields of the asset standard are complete.

  3. Integrated, bronze: One or more indirect integrations have added data to the credit (i.e. satellite data added via a manual upload process)

If the credit issuer were to directly integrate their satellite provider with Geora, using the Geora API, they could upgrade the Integrated badge to silver.
