Merging an asset in Geora allows you to take two individual assets and combine them together to create one new asset.
If you're looking for a more detailed use-case example, check out this guide instead.
There are a couple of reasons you might want to merge an asset:
You want to combine multiple commodities you're tracking as part of your value chain (e.g. individual trucks of barley that get combined at the storage facility)
βYou're tracking multiple unique commodities that eventually get combined together to form a new/specific product
With this in mind, here's how to merge an asset in Geora:
Step 1: Navigate to your Workspace and click the 'Merge assets' button
Step 2: Search for the assets you'd like to combine:
Tip: You can use the search functionality to search for things like the Asset ID, Asset Type, or any other relevant fields or data points that's easiest for you!
Step 3: Use the selector button to the left of each asset you'd like to merge and click Merge towards the bottom right of the page when you're ready
Step 4: Done! Your assets have now been merged - allowing. you to click into the newly created asset!
