Impact scores are calculated by accounting for both the risks and the impact activities that relate to your farming operations.

Risk factors reduce the score and include specific risks relating to your industry, location and other exposures. Impact factors improve your score and include all of the positive sustainable activities you are undertaking on farm.

Impact scores are calculated by the advanced algorithms we have built in Geora’s data engine. We use research and data from leading industry bodies to create these algorithms.

You start with a baseline score of 5 and from there, each risk and impact activity adds to and subtracts from your overall score.

  • A score of 5 or above means that you are mitigating any risk with impact activities and doing really well in that area.

  • A score of between 3.5 to 5 indicates some risk mitigation work is underway on farm.

  • A score below 3.5 indicates a high level of risk.

The scores are also weighted to indicate how progressed you are in rolling out different impact activities across the farm!
